Sr Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist (Finance)

You will report directly to our R&D Manager, and you will work out of our Plymouth, MN location. This role is eligible for a hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall R&D strategy in alignment with the company's business goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the long-term direction of the R&D function.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the R&D organization.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple R&D projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

The annual base salary range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $132,000 - $168,000 and for Freeport, IL is $124,000 - $155,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years of experience leading research and development projects within a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and project management.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
