Recruiter I (Commercial) (Finance)



JOB SUMMARY

The Recruiter I position works as an integral part of business operations via active, engaged and targeted recruiting, developing and implementing recruiting plans and strategies. Key duties include, but are not limited to, placing announcements, working with agencies and other personnel sources to secure candidates, participating in job fairs (in-person and virtual), following up on leads in a timely manner, and any appropriate administration and tracking as directed.

CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:
  1. Identifies potential sources for recruiting Security Officers and other field personnel, such as through job fairs, associations, community organizations, advocacy groups, government agencies, military transition centers, vocational/technical schools, colleges and universities.
  2. Develop ongoing effective relationships that will result in an increased applicant flow of security candidates by on-site visitation with possible sources.
  3. Conducts initial interviews prior to candidate referral for secondary interviews and screening.
  4. Participates in applicant screening; administers surveys and interview enhancement tools, and refers potential candidates contacted at job fairs, etc., for follow-up interviews.
  5. Reviews employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications and requirements of applicants.
  6. Reviews job requisitions and matches applicants with job requirements, utilizing manual or computerized file search methods.
  7. Informs applicants of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, company and union policies, promotional opportunities, and other related information.
  8. Maintains records of applicants not selected for employment.
  9. Determines effective media campaigns, with guidance from field, operational, sector and corporate management, such as advertising (online job board, print, radio, television, etc), posters, flyers, etc.
  10. Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S Citizenship preferred
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a government security clearance. Must have a minimum of an active Interim Secret granted.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements (dependent on assignment).

Education/Experience
  • Associate degree and two or more years of progressively responsible business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the Company.
  • Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and at least two years of specific recruiting and sourcing experience are preferred.

Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)

  • Knowledge of sourcing, recruiting and human resources administration
  • Ability to use technology, including audio-visual equipment, web-based and point-to-point training delivery systems, and personal computers
  • Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn security services and operations
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances
  • Highly organized, punctual, and responsible
  • Presentation and group facilitation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Courteous telephone manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment, handle projects responsibly, take initiative, and achieve results

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and build rapport with new people
  • Ability to travel

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area.
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for up to 8 hours per day and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 45 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to use vehicle in the performance of duties. Vehicles are to include but not limited to cars, trucks, electric carts, and bicycles.
  • On occasion may be required to perform stressful physical activity.
  • Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
