Assistant Professor - General Dermatology (Finance)



The Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor to join our growing department and participate in furthering the academic, research and clinical missions in line with the Morsani College of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a desire to serve at the forefront of dermatology by taking on complex patients, participating in research, teaching, and have a growth mindset as we embark on new innovations.MINIMUM:

Doctoral/Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate or Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.

Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full un-restricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. The candidate will participate in the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical medicine. Must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Dermatology.Working at USF

RESEARCH: Initiate and recruit patients to clinical trials and maintain compliance with trial sponsor

CLINICAL: Responsible for teaching, research, service and related administrative activities including development of clinical relationship with partner hospitals. Teaching medical students and residents through lectures, conferences, teaching rounds and teaching clinics.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a State university. Responsible for defining problem areas within the functional area to which assigned. Outlines research programs and projects, analyzes statistical and other data, and provides appropriate recommendations to address and eliminate problem areas. May be assigned teaching duties. Apply
