Maintenance Technician (Maintenance)



Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of our community. You will work closely with staff and residents to address maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our residents are essential.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Complete assigned work orders proficiently in a timely manner. Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repairs. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Performs other related duties as assigned. May work in other positions temporarily when necessary. Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked. Excellent organizational and time management skills while working individually. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building. Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and staff. Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the community. Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner. Take the initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority. Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators). Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents rights.
