Quality Control Manager (Finance)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in Continuous Improvement to lead our quality strategy, ensure compliance with standards, and drive operational excellence across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing quality initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, and implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to achieve measurable business results.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO, IATF, or other relevant standards.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track product quality, customer satisfaction, and process performance.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to resolve root causes of nonconformance and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across the organization using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, problem-solving workshops, and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Lead audits (internal, customer, and regulatory) and manage responses to findings.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performance quality culture.
  • Serve as a key customer contact for quality-related issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Drive supplier quality initiatives, including qualification, audits, and performance improvement.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Quality Management, or related field (Master's preferred ).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Continuous Improvement , Lean, and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt certification strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of QMS requirements (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or industry equivalent).
  • Proven track record of reducing defects, improving process capability, and delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management capabilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving a culture of quality and accountability.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ERP and quality management software systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. At times, this job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear . The Team Member frequently is required to stand ; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting and/or moving objects up to 35 pounds may be required .
