Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director, Materials Planning located in US California Milpitas.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director, Materials Planning will be responsible for directing the implementation of material planning strategy in order to balance supply and demand.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and manage the team to deploy material planning models to ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions for customer programs. Utilizes models for defining material planning parameters for components.

  • Meet with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events.

  • Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and backlog.

  • Use the information gathered from Global Account/Management and trend evaluation, direct a Demand Plan.

  • Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand draft plans.

  • Manages, coaches and mentors a team. Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.

  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Regularly interact with executives and major clients which may result in influencing and/or persuading customer negotiations.

  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we're looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

  • 12 years' experience in material management

  • Advance experience in planning and manufacturing, including supervision.

  • Knowledge in production, warehouse, purchasing and planning control.

  • Strong leadership experience

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$169,000.00 USD - $232,400.00 USDĀ Annual
