IT Automation Manager (Finance)



SUMMARY :

The IT Automation Manager manages the RPA team and leads the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to enhance IT operations and bank operations. This role oversees the automation strategy, streamlines processes, and drives efficiency across all systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Design and implement an IT automation roadmap aligned with organizational goals, focusing on improving efficiency, scalability, and reliability
  • Manage staff to ensure proper software implementation, and support change management practices, providing mentorship, setting objectives, and ensuring project delivery
  • Ensure development projects match business needs and requirements, furnish end-user requirements, identify and resolve systems issues, conduct pre-testing of systems and make proper modifications
  • Work with IT operations, security, and bank teams to ensure automation solutions meet business and security requirements
  • Identify repetitive processes and workflows suitable for automation, such as system monitoring, software deployment, and bank processes
  • Establish metrics to measure automation success and report on performance improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee the creation of scripts (e.g., Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks and integrate systems
  • Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and best practices to enhance existing processes
  • Ensure automation solutions adhere to industry standards and security policies, including data protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure documentation (BRDs) and job inventory stays current

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Development or related filed required, master's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in IT operations, systems administration, or DevOps, with at some experience in an automation-focused role required
  • Prior experience leading automation projects and managing teams required
  • Workfusion Automation Engineer certification required or must be obtained within the 6 months of hire

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Linux Servers

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of bank processes
  • Intermediate leadership skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
  • May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
  • Limited travel required occasionally during and after business hours
