In 1898, nine ranchers in northwestern Nebraska started Stockmens National Bank of Rushville, Nebraska. Role:

The BSA Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting the BSA Compliance Officer in the execution of the Bank's AML/CFT program.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                 

  • Experience with Suspicious Activity Monitoring System (SAM), Administration, report generation, data analysis.
  • Analyze transactional activity from (SAM), along with the information gathered and use sound judgement, decision-making skills and discretion in making reasonable determinations in case investigations performed.
  • Assist with the filing of CTRs in a timely manner in accordance with regulations.
  • Ensure proper CIP/CDD and EDD are acquired in accordance with bank policy and are valid.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to complete investigations, sound SAR narrative writing and reporting practices.
  • Analyze monitoring efficiencies of AML system (SAM) and recommend changes.
  • Identifies and professionally escalates matters requiring BSA management attention.
  • Assists with the development of policies, procedures and training, as needed, to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assembles necessary information, work papers and documents for audits/Exams.
  • Ensures that records are in order and comply with regulatory and internal record retention requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships within related business units to ensure partnership approach to BSA risk management.
  • Ensure departments and staff are informed of new or revised policies or regulations affecting their compliance within the required time frame as assigned by management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve internal inquiries in a timely, accurate manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and/or Experience.                     

  • High school education or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Two to five years BSA or related experience required.
  • Solid knowledge of audit procedures, government regulations, banking working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs to include Excel.
  • Must be able to develop innovative solutions and must be attentive to details.

Interpersonal Skills.                                                                                                        

  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Must be able to work with personal information and keep confidential.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities; strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to develop innovative solutions and must be attentive to details.
  • Work may involve motivating (changing behavior), influencing, or training others. External contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and sell ideas or services to others.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: BSA/AML certification helpful, but not necessary.

While performing this job the employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 24lbs. It is frequently necessary to bend, squat, reach above the shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance and push/pull equipment. Firm grasping/fine manipulation with the right/left hand is necessary. In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.
