  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience of credit/collection experience or 3 (three) years of experience in a business process which uses similar core skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business from an accredited institution
  • ERP system experience
  • Background in analytics
  • Credit experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Howmet's complex Business Units structure, and multiple accounting systems

Salary Range: $50,000 - 70,000/year approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).Howmet Aerospace is currently in search of a Senior Analyst, Credit position, to join our Global Financial Services organization at the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The primary purpose of the role is to become integrated with the Business Segments in performing the credit/collection function. This role assesses risk, establishes credit lines within delegated authority levels, and operates within Howmet and Global Credit's Policies and Procedures. In addition, the Senior Analyst, Credit will use various systems and technologies while working under the supervision of a Credit Manager.

Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Performing collections across Howmet's complex sets of business units and global credit regions to ensure prompt customer payment performance. Serving as an escalation point for Collectors as they encounter situations beyond their respective job expectations.
  • Building essential credibility with assigned Business Segments. Helping Business Segments craft their Accounts Receivable management on complex/troubled accounts as well as customers on which business can be further developed. Help ensure that Global Credit is delivering per the SLA, escalate deviations.
  • Ensuring customer exposure remains within the approved credit limits reasonable norms. Managing order holds/releases effectively.
  • Performing risk analysis and credit review work for new and existing accounts of low/med complexity, likely including some with global scope. Exercising sound credit and commercial judgment when formulating credit recommendations, establishing proper credit controls in the Oracle system, performing all within the incumbent's delegated credit authority.
  • Escalating non-standard issues, critical collection problems, or high-risk issues to the appropriate Credit, Accounts Receivable, and/or Business Manager(s) in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in any special projects as requested including process improvement/automation initiatives to increase efficiency and present to the Lead Team, participate actively in the implementation.
  • Participating in ASAT (internal audit assessment) testing to ensure credit processes are in control and capable, and provide constructive input and recommendations where enhancements to existing credit/accounts receivable processes may be improved.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including those who may be upset or have objectives contrary to Howmet's.
  • Replacing/substituting other credit team members as directed.
  • Working in a diverse and complex global environment, across Howmet's complex set of business segments and global credit regions, using multiple credit platforms.

Essential Knowledge& Skills/Education:
  • Fluent in English and any other language(s) necessary to work productively within the assigned portfolio of customers.
  • Highly developed listening and communications (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to work well with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Deep knowledge of the Howmet Business Segments and Sales/Marketing Organizations that are serviced within their portfolio.
  • Able to assimilate information about problems and establish a course of action.
  • Excellent, and progressively strong computer skills, to work on multiple computer platforms to make/supervise/train collection calls, document conversations and send correspondence with their internal and external customers to handle general administrative requirements on their portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, coach, mentor and supervise others, and cooperate with internal and external customers.
  • Strong and progressively developed organizational skills, including being able to work independently, set and prioritize day to day work, communicate effectively and follow-up in a structured manner.
