Chief Financial Officer (Project Management)



Position Summary
Responsible for all financial matters of Goodwill and its affiliate organizations. Works with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies across the organization. Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and planning throughout the organization and its subsidiaries, including government contracts, retail, private industry contracts and fund raising. Works closely with the other members of the leadership team to promote Goodwill's mission and assures appropriate and ethical financial and administrative management. Responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the board of directors, finance committee and audit sub-committee. Interacts with and maintains positive relations with the board of directors.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Works effectively with Goodwills leadership team to develop overall corporate strategy, assesses the organizational performance against both the annual budget and strategic plan. Guides the development of tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. Responsible for guiding the CEO and leadership team with necessary information to make informed management decisions.

2. Responsible for the professional development of our associates.

3. Serves as liaison to the boards, finance committee, audit and investment sub-committees, engaging in issues, trends, and changes in the operational delivery. Assists in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants.

4. Promotes Goodwill within the community to enhance the public image and to obtain support for the achievement of our Mission. Demonstrates a commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates of Goodwill.

5. Manages organizational risk, long term cash flow and financial forecasting. Maintains a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash flow threshold to meet
operating needs. Optimizes the handling of banking relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions. Oversees long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with Goodwills strategic plan.

6. Responsible for mentoring and developing direct reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic. Is the direct supervisor of finance and procurement.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related major required.
5+ Years' experience in financial management required. 5+ Years' experience employing/managing accounting staff required.
No professional certifications are required for this position.
Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass both state and federal criminal background checks and sex offender check.
Ability to operate PC and databases, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and knowledge of accounting systems, required.
