Intern - Pharmacy, VBC (Finance)

SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Intern will use education and experience to assist with value-based care projects, patient counseling, and clinical support under pharmacist supervision to enhance patient care and safety while gaining valuable experience and knowledge during the internship period .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

• Support population health initiatives, such as reviewing guideline-directed medical therapy opportunities or medication safety reports.
• Assist with patient care as delegated by pharmacist, for example, calling pharmacies, insurance companies, and/or patient assistance programs.
• Provide clinical data entry support.
• Create education materials for clinical team and assist with reviewing and creating policies.
• Deliver exceptional outcomes in support of key company initiatives.
• Intern will participate in activities to enhance connection to the company as a whole and encourage personal growth.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and Privacy standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities.
• Actively promotes service standards with members; develops effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Participates in team concepts and promote an interdisciplinary effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
