What You'll Get to Do

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of processes and procedures that comply with ISO 9001 standards, fostering continuous quality improvement, and collaborating effectively with customers and vendors.

This role is perfect for an individual who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is enthusiastic about Quality Assurance.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Quality System: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management processes in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify factors for quality improvement and implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes and products.
  • Customer: Work closely with customers to ensure quality requirements are met and address any quality-related issues.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality processes, procedures, and standards, including quality trend charts and control plans.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training: Provide training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to management.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and assembly issues using tools like Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Supplier Quality Management: Plan, execute, and manage quality activities with suppliers, employing 8-D based Supplier Corrective Action requests to deliver efficient and effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach site quality personnel to efficiently execute Quality SOPs and identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related role.
  • Certifications:  Six Sigma Green Belt and CQE are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in quality management software and tools, including statistical process control software.
    • Bilingual in English / Spanish
  • Technical Skills:
    • PPAP
    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
    • Control Plans
    • Capability Analysis
    • Statistical Process Controls
    • Quality Systems requirements
    • Corrective Actions / Problem Solving skills : 8D, A3, PDCA, DMAIC.

 

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually
