Houseperson - DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile (Finance)
In the heart of downtown Chicago, the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile is seeking a Houseperson to join their housekeeping team. Tucked between Magnificent Mile shopping and Navy Pier attractions, this property is only 10-minute walk from 360 CHICAGO, Millennium Park, and the CTA Red Line.
The ideal candidate will have previous hotel or hospital housekeeping experience and have full availability to work the ever changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.
Shift Pattern: Full flexibility with Mostly PM shifts, 2:00PM-10:30PM, weekend and holidays availability required.
Pay Rate: $20.72 per hour, if less than 6months or no experience; full rate $25.90 after satisfactory completion of probationary period (100 days).

What will I be doing?
As a Houseperson, you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
- Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
- Greet guests in a friendly manner
- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
- Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed
- Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed
