Job Description
Primary Function of Position

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Business Continuity. This position will direct and manage all aspects of the enterprise Business Continuity Program consistent with regulatory guidance, industry standards, and company policy. This position will identify, manage, and report inherent and residual continuity risk arising from new and ongoing activities and partner with various business units globally (i.e. Manufacturing, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Information Technology) to develop and test risk mitigation strategies in alignment with established risk tolerances. This role will serve as the business continuity subject matter expert to leadership and be point of contact with regulators and other relevant parties.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Business Continuity Program during development, implementation, testing, and on-going maintenance
  • Develop and implement relevant measures to identify risks associated with business processes and dependencies to ensure corresponding risk mitigation strategies
  • Create business continuity program goals and reporting against key performance indicators which help continuous program improvement
  • Establish training programs to ensure that program participants are aware of their roles and can execute their assigned responsibilities when needed
  • Manage the continuity planning process and create awareness throughout the company. Provide leadership and guidance during disaster.
  • Establish a risk-based testing and verification program to build confidence in recovery strategies and ensure the program meets goals
  • Define and prioritize business functions and associated dependencies which are predetermined to be critical to achieving corporate goals
  • Present corporate Business Continuity Program capabilities, roles, and responsibilities to business leaders
  • Build an internal network to help enterprise-wide program engagement and execution
  • Confirm business continuity requirements and incorporate data of state and federal laws and regulations and recommend program and enterprise actions to ensure continued regulatory compliance
  • Partner with IT to confirm and enhance technology recovery capability that aligns to business demand, best practices, and regulatory guidance
  • Assess the company's ability to align with regulatory and audit expectations
  • Create awareness and present findings on industry standards and best practices to enhance effectiveness of the continuity program
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • 10 + years leading a business continuity program, preferably in an international manufacturing organization
  • 5 + years managing continuity program initiatives and incidents
  • Ability to work with across levels of personnel from end users to executive management
  • Polished presentation skills to both large groups and executive management/ board meetings
  • Strategic vision and the ability to build business case scenarios
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional statistical and developmental skills
  • Innovative, practical approach to solutions; focusing on substance over form
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and direction while influencing decision-making without direct authority
  • Possess high EQ, empathy, and flexibility
  • Proven trustworthiness and history of acting with integrity
  • Customer-centric focused, pride of ownership and in work, top person in the profession, curious and flexible approach
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking, along with decision-making skills and business acumen
  • This role requires working onsite 3 days/week in our Sunnyvale, CA office

Required Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information assurance or related technical field
  • DRII, BCI, CBDP or other relevant certification

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Master's degree preferred

Base Salary Range Region 1: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $132,600 USD - $199,000 USD
