SAC BI and Planning Engineer (Finance)



Position Overview:

CuraScript SD a wholesale pharmaceutical distributor that provides customized business solutions and access to specialty drugs to community physicians, specialty pharmacies, and health systems; it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Scripts, Inc. - a Cigna Company.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SAP Analytics Cloud SME to join our technology team. The SME serves as a key facilitator and collaborator focusing on understanding Analytics and planning requirements. In this role, the SME facilitates the design and development of SAC stories ,pipelines to get data into HANA Cloud, and creating HANA Models ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer needs. Working closely within and with other cross-functional teams, the SME oversees coordination and implementation of dashboards and Stories.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable planning models, data models and reporting frameworks that align with overall business objectives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, and other teams to understand their budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
  • Design and build data models, pipelines in SAP HANA cloud/Datasphere to match the requirements.
  • Manage the integration of data from various sources (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere) to ensure data quality, accuracy, and seamless data flow within the SAC environment.
  • Design and build advanced SAC planning models, data actions, stories, dashboards, and visualizations to support financial and operational forecasting.
  • Serve as the SME for SAC planning and BI, providing technical guidance, resolving complex issues, and ensuring the platform's performance and stability.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize planning processes, staying up-to-date with the latest SAC features and best practices.
  • Adhere to data governance policies and procedures, security, data quality.

Overall Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/Native HANA/HANA Cloud/SAC/Integrated planning
  • Strong functional knowledge especially in finance and supply chain planning areas
  • Proven, hands-on experience in implementing and configuring SAP Analytics Cloud, with a deep specialization in planning.
  • A strong understanding of financial and operational planning processes, such as budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Ability to integrate data from IBP into SAC planning models.
  • Knowledge of Datasphere, SAP S/4, CDS views, SDI/SDA/SLT/BODS, SAP CPI, Cloud connector, API, HANA Cloud/HANA Modeling, SAP IBP.
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience/understanding with ERP implementation processes (i.e. planning, blueprinting, go-live, hypercare)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with strong PC literacy with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be highly customer focused with a demonstrated commitment to customer care and building long-term relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional Qualifications

  • SAC Certification
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA preferred
  • Knowledge of supply chain management preferred
  • Experience in wholesale pharmaceutical distribution or life sciences preferred

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 116,800 - 194,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
