You are:

A strategy professional with a strong consulting foundation, trusted by Financial Services clients to help them navigate disruption and deliver measurable results. You thrive in fast-paced environments - bringing structure to ambiguity, clarity to complexity, and action to strategy. You're excited to drive transformation across Asset and Wealth Management, Financial Markets Infrastructure, and Banking sectors.

You're ready to step into a high-impact role where you'll work closely with senior leaders - internally and externally - to deliver performance improvement, growth, and innovation for some of the most dynamic institutions in the industry.

This is a hybrid, in-office role based in New York or Boston.

The work:

  • Lead project execution from scoping to delivery - managing planning, pacing, client communications, and quality oversight.
  • Drive problem-solving and content creation, providing frameworks, analysis, and structured thinking to help clients tackle complex challenges.
  • Own client relationships day-to-day, acting as a key point of contact and trusted partner across engagements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, helping shape client agendas by understanding their strategic priorities and pain points.
  • Present to senior clients, communicating insights, solutions, and value with confidence and clarity.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, attending pitch meetings, and identifying client needs and whitespace opportunities.
  • Develop intellectual capital, contribute to internal capability building, and stay current on disruptive trends like fintech, AI, and digital innovation.
  • Coach junior team members, shaping a high-performance culture by investing in talent development, mentoring, and active knowledge sharing.

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum 8 years of strategy consulting experience at a top firm (MBB, Big 4 Strategy, or equivalent), with exposure to:
    • Asset and Wealth Management
    • Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI): Exchanges, Custodians, Data Providers
    • Banking
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
    • Growth Strategy & Business Model Innovation
    • Cost Transformation & Performance Improvement
    • Deal Strategy (Due Diligence, PMI, Carve-outs, 100-Day Planning)
    • Pricing and Revenue Optimization
    • Data, Digital, and Platform Modernization
    • Emerging Tech: AI, Analytics, Digital Product Strategy
  • Track record of project leadership and team management.
  • Strong analytical toolkit and comfort working with unstructured data and ambiguous client problems.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel - with the ability to turn insight into story.
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.

The salary range is $150,000 - $195,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
