*Quality Manager (Project Management)



Come join the staff at OU HSC and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities. Provides oversight for accreditation activities and provides information to physicians and staff. Develops quality studies and data analysis. Provides oversight of clinic site visits. Collects, investigates, and trends unexpected outcomes, patient safety, and complaint data. Participates on committees and policy development.

Duties: 

  • Provides oversight for accreditation activities.
  • Assists clinics and departments with development of quality studies and data analysis.
  • Captures and reports quality data.
  • Serves as a resource for quality and accreditation information for physicians and staff.
  • Provides oversight of clinic site visits including internal audits, third party visits, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Collects, investigates, and trends unexpected outcomes, patient safety, and complaint data.
  • Participates in policy development.
  • Participates on committees as assigned.
  • Ensures compliance with external regulatory and certifying agencies.
  • Performs other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare related field AND:

  • 36 months experience in healthcare, quality, or risk management.

Equivalency & Substitution: May substitute an Associate's degree in lieu of the Bachelor's degree and 24 months of healthcare, quality, or risk management experience for a total of 60 months experience.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the healthcare quality field and accrediting agencies such as Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JACHO), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
  • Knowledge of how healthcare quality is evaluated, improved, and regulated within the health system
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction metrics and other health metrics
  • Ability to understand quality, safety metrics, and value based initiatives
  • Ability to make decisions, resolve conflict, set priorities, be flexible, and adapt to different situations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to understand and apply protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

This position is located at an OU Health operated facility. The selected applicant will also be an OU Health contingent worker.
