Job Description
PURPOSE SUMMARY. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, responsible for the operation and maintenance of CRRUA's water and wastewater treatment plants, wastewater laboratory, and composting systems. Provide technical oversight and support for multiple treatment plant operations, supervise, and oversee CRRUA and contract personnel who perform operations and maintenance (O&M) duties. This position requires availability for responding to emergency situations on a 24-hour basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES.

QUALIFICATIONS.
A. Education. Associate's degree in water technology or related field.
B. Experience. Five (5) years of experience in water and wastewater facility operations providing extensive knowledge of biological processes, equipment, tools, physical operations, and methods used in inspecting, cleaning, operating, and maintaining water and wastewater facilities. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Bilingual is preferred.
C. Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with CRRUA policy.
D. Licenses/Certifications. Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with CRRUA policy. NM Water Level IV and Wastewater Level IV certification or the ability to obtain Level IV Certifications within one (1) year.
E. Other (e.g., post-offer medical exam, polygraph, background check, driver's license record, etc.). Must pass a background and driver's license check.
