Your Role: Sales Representative- Retail

 

As a Sales Representative in our Retail business, you'll create demand and secure sales by delivering and demonstrating the value of Elanco Animal Health products to direct customers and influencers. As a Sales Representative, you'll manage the territory through a yearly action plan, account plans, expense management and appropriate communications consistent with Elanco's business unit marketing and sales objectives. A minimum of two years in this position is appropriate. 

 

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Understand customer needs to provide solutions/value via Elanco products 

  • Territory planning and analysis including account planning and budget management 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across teams with strong communication skills internally & externally 

  • Constantly curious and aware of learning opportunities  

  • Data-driven, constantly benchmarking and understanding customer needs 

  • Active listing and can-do attitude to drive results 

  • Customer-centric and socially aware of key stakeholders  

 

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture or agricultural related field  

  • Experience: 3+ years of industry experience or former Elanco Intern

 

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications): 

  • Experience in sales in the animal health industry  

  • Strong Leadership Skills  

  • Effective Communication skills (verbal and written)  

  • A very strong passion for animal agriculture

 

Additional Information: 

  • Travel: This territory will require extensive travel, approximately 2-3 nights per week  

  • US Remote: Field-based role in which you operate from your home but serve customers in a predefined area

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $55,100 to $88,000 depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above. Elanco reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate its compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion, and Elanco's compensation practices and guidelines will apply regarding the details of any promotion or transfer of Elanco employees.
