IT Product Owner - Cloud Technologies (Finance)
Overview
We are seeking a full-time IT Product Owner (Cloud Technologies), in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will will oversee the development, launch, and ongoing success of cloud-based products and services. This role serves as a key conduit between business/product objectives and technical execution. The Product Owner is responsible for defining product strategy, managing the product backlog, and working with engineering and other stakeholders to deliver features that meet customer needs and business objectives
Essential Functions
- Define the long-term vision and roadmap for cloud-based product and ensure alignment with overall business objectives
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring features align with customer needs and business priorities
- Work closely with stakeholders, to ensure alignment and deliver products effectively.
- Understand customer needs and pain points and translate them into product requirements.
- Conduct work prioritization and work sequencing and manage sprints and development of new features / products.
- Continuously map back to integrated roadmap milestones to ensure alignment on delivery
- Deliver consistent and clear release notes
- Support and drive documentation that supports both the delivery of capabilities that meet customer needs and enable training and implementation of capabilities
- Drive decision making on tradeoffs through clear understanding of business need, technical options and viable options
- Track product performance, analyze user data, and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with various teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Represent the product internally and externally, communicating its value and benefits to stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree in one of the fields noted above AND a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience working in technology as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Demonstratable experience working with cloud technologies adn platforms
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
- Demonstrates mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements which meet business needs
- Demonstrates facilitation and leadership expertise
- Demonstrates superior analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Experience working on Agile/Scrum project team
- Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners
- Demonstrates ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
- Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
- Certifications: PMI-PBA, CBAP, Scrum Master
- Experience with Jira
- Understanding of compliance and security concepts
- Knowledge of basic application architecture concepts
- Experience with usability, user training, and user change management
- Experience collaborating across a decentralized, global team
