Housekeeping/Laundry Aide Full time and Part time (Healthcare)

Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and thorough individual to join our team as a full time and part time housekeeping aide. This role involves maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for residents and staff, encompassing both janitorial duties and laundry responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a consistent supply of clean linens.
• Inspect and maintain linens, removing damaged items.
• Collect and process resident laundry.
• Label new residents' clothing.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to procedures.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary laundry procedures.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate all laundry equipment and handle supplies safely.
• Perform general housekeeping in resident rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting.
• Sanitize areas as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness of public areas like the lobby and restrooms.
• Clean handrails.
• Clean walls, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.
• Empty trash cans.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures and signage during cleaning.
• Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an orderly manner.
• Report equipment and facility maintenance issues promptly.
