Job Description
The Sr. Director, HR Business Leader (HRBL) is tasked with providing strategic human capital solutions and thought leadership to address the business challenges faced by the executive leadership team in product and product-enabling functions. Reporting to the Vice President of Organizational Strategy & Excellence, the Sr. Director will collaborate closely with Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to deliver initiatives that enhance human performance within product operations. This role includes managing a team of HRBLs, guiding them to develop tailored solutions and ensuring cross-functional alignment. This position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to build strong partnerships, drive organizational change, and enhance human capital performance across the product operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders to translate business needs into effective talent strategies, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise goals and addressing cross-functional impacts.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a consultant on leadership expectations, culture, and organizational performance, utilizing data analytics to inform strategic solutions.
  • Talent Strategy Development: Work with leadership to create long-term organizational talent plans, supporting workforce scaling and growth.
  • Advisory Role: Establish strong consultative relationships with senior leadership, providing coaching and mentorship to business leaders.
  • Program Implementation: Execute corporate strategies within the business, measuring success and encouraging continuous improvement. Influence the design of future programs to better meet business needs.
  • Change Management: Lead major change initiatives in line with company strategy and culture, fostering employee and organizational support and commitment.

  • Leadership Consultation: Act as a consultant on leadership expectations, culture, organizational performance, and design. Utilize organizational health data and analytics to guide solutions.
  • Talent Solutions: Develop and deliver focused HR solutions in collaboration with the extended HR team to support unique talent strategies.
  • Long-term Planning: Partner with leadership to devise strategic talent plans that inform workforce scaling and growth.
  • Advisory Role: Build consultative relationships with senior leadership, providing coaching and mentorship to business leaders.
  • Program Implementation: Implement corporate strategies within the business, track success, and drive continuous improvement. Influence future program designs to better meet business needs.
  • Change Management: Lead major change initiatives aligned with company strategy and culture, fostering employee and organizational support and commitment.
  • Executive Consultation: Anticipate future people requirements, develop sourcing, performance, and rewards strategies, and provide insights during executive-level calibration reviews.
  • Legal Guidance: Advise senior leaders on complex personnel matters, guiding them through legal requirements to reach effective resolutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business management, Human Resources, or a related field required; Master's degree is ideal but not mandatory.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience, including 8+ years as an HR Business Partner or in a client-facing capacity, and at least 5+ years as a people leader.
  • Additional Experience: Experience supporting Product Engineering groups is advantageous, along with a background in high-growth, high-tech global companies. Relevant industry experience in medical devices or engineering/technical organizations is preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $255,600 USD - $383,400 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $217,300 USD - $325,900 USD
