Senior Proposal Advisor (Project Management)



Location: Virginia, United States of America

Senior Proposal Advisor

Arlington, VA (Fully remote)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Senior Proposal Advisor, whose role drives the preparation and coordination of proposal activities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide expertise and drive the preparation and planning of activities related to assembly, test, deployment and support of CNS/ATM Systems.
  • Provide expertise and drive the planning and creation of programmatic organizations.
  • Lead the development of strategic supplier / teaming agreements and scope of work.
  • Drive discussions between engineering and industry on strategy and approach.
  • Significantly contribute to planning of industrial organizations/facilities both for program implementation and for support services and contribute to preparation of material for internal reviews and approvals.
  • Interface with procurement regarding procurement validation process and pricing from suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related and appropriate field of study with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant work experience and 10+ years of work experience in a technical delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated ability of project management of US Government contracts and multiple past submission of 100M+ USD Proposals to the US Government.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulations (DFAR).
  • Capacity to work in an international and multicultural environment and proficient with Office tools – MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Ability to stay cool under pressure and can delegate tasks with a high level of integrity. As well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, marketing personnel, consultants and industry partners across multiple cultural domains.

Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: Part Time
  • Travel: domestic and/or international travel to perform the essential functions of the position; 3-4 times / year.
  • Working knowledge of CNS/ATM Systems.
  • Project/Proposal management experience in the field of CNS/ATM Systems.
  • High energy, team oriented, and results focused.
