Cyber Security Engineer I (Finance)

Honeywell is looking to hire recent college graduates to join the IA Product Security team as an entry level Product Security Architect. As a Product Security Architect, you will be responsible for providing product security proficiency to product engineering teams throughout all phases of the SDLC. The chosen applicant will go through the 6-month Cyber Career Kickoff training program in Fort Mill, SC which will teach them the necessary skills to effectively perform the job function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) project in the product security process activities including threat modeling, final security reviews, threat vulnerability assessment, etc. for all software and firmware development in Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS).
  • Audit key process deliverables related to security for correctness and completeness.
  • Drive efforts with the development teams to quantify residual product risk and identification of appropriate security controls.
  • Provide product security related coaching/mentoring and security expertise for all software and firmware development teams in SPS.
  • Help engineering and Product Management teams identify security requirements.
  • Drive a standardized set of security product requirements into product and service offerings.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional activities for incident response.
As an Advanced Cyber Sec Archt/Engr here at Honeywell, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, fortify defenses against threats, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will report directly to our Sr Cyber Security Manager and you'll work out of our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Knowledge of cyber security principles and their application
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university majoring in a computer science, information systems, engineering, or cyber security degree or applicable work experience.
  • Self-starting problem solver, who has a passion for the complexities of coding and application/product security
  • 1+ year of Software development experience
  • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle and practices such as threat modeling, security reviews, penetration tests, and security incident response.
  • Understanding of Agile software development practices.
  • Understanding of penetration testing methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts.
  • Knowledge of current security threats and techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
