Sr Analyst Business Analytics (Information Technology)



Job Summary

Responsible for conducting advanced data research, financial analysis, and strategic evaluations to support business objectives and decision-making processes. This role involves analyzing internal and external data, understanding market and economic trends, and developing actionable recommendations to improve business performance.
Work closely with senior management, project leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive key business initiatives and investments.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify data and reporting tools necessary to/and perform business, financial and data analysis.  Communicate the results of the business, financial and data analysis. Plan and prepare financial and operational analysis resulting in information used in planning and decision making.

Work directly with Inventory Management, Information Systems, Financial Audit and other such groups in the organization to provide intermediate and advanced level analysis and reporting as necessary.

Develop and analyze scorecards, providing insight into trends or unusual performance. Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market or share trends. Perform market trend analysis, develop measurement tools to identify changing market trends.

Organize plans and recommend analysis and reports consistent with continuous improvement of processes and procedures.  

Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action. Identify and/or monitor current and potential customers, using business intelligence tools.

Collect and analyze financial information related to the organizations expenses, seek ways to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts . Summarize and present data findings to leadership.

Support long term financial planning with in depth, detailed sales analyses, as well as understand and present findings and business/sales plans to corporate finance teams.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or Business Analytics.

Certification / Licensure

Work Experience

At least 5 years of related experience or combination of experience and education.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using advanced functions, inserting charts, Pivot Tables, nested formulas, macros, power query),

Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

Experience with SAP, SQL, Tableau, DART, Nquire, SOUL, CRM, SAP, PIR & Costing.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$79,560.00 - $115,440.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
