Operations Space Industrial Engineer - Global Warehousing (Finance)

Job Description
The Operations Space Industrial Engineer 3 reports to the Senior Manager, Operations Expansion Strategy and is responsible for maintaining specialty and/or technical space models (such as manufacturing, warehouse & logistics, and others as assigned) and collaborating effectively with IE, Operations, Engineering and other teams across the globe. There is a core focus on collaboration and standardization. The engineer will support analysis of space demand and supply. Proven relationship-building skills are essential as collaboration across departments to gather inputs, validate data, troubleshoot and problem-solve, and support short- and long-term space solutions.

This role focuses on warehousing and logistics space.

Essential Job Duties

Model management

  • Run and review space model accuracy metrics and maintain/update manufacturing space models, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data
  • Collaborate with local IE and Operations teams, ensuring timely integration of their data and considerations into global model
  • Support integration of space planning dependencies into MSRB networks

Stakeholder management & collaboration
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, to enable efficient model maintenance and continuous improvement of space models and the space planning process

Analysis, presentation, and level of influence
  • Support analysis of space demand vs. supply as required
  • Support generation of insights from analysis

Process improvement & operational efficiency
  • May participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives aimed at enhancing space management processes and improving overall operational efficiency

Qualifications
Minimum Required Skills and Experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Proven data analysis skills
  • Skilled in identifying issues or inconsistencies, attention to detail and ability to spot and investigate deviations from expectations
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships across the organization and influencing without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, break down, and resolve problems or challenges, consider alternative perspectives and make sound recommendations

Required Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related.
  • Approximately 5 years of work experience, preferably in industrial engineering, data analysis, space planning, or a related analytical role in operations

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 2+ years of experience specifically focusing on operations space planning
  • 2+ years of experience working in a warehousing or logistics operation
  • Familiarity with various warehousing storage methods and/or technologies, including traditional and VNA racking, VLMs, ASRS

Base Salary Range Region 1: $117,200 USD - $168,600 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $99,600 USD - $143,400 USD
