Program Director $66-68k/yr. (Finance)



The Program Director provides direct supervision to a team of therapists who will implement Functional Family Therapy (FFT). Position bears responsibility for day-to-day operations of program, and the achievement of program quality goals as established by the Provider and contract requirements.

We are looking for a Program Director who must have:

  • Masters in Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area
  • Experience in program development including design, financing, staffing, and evaluation. Managing day-to-day operation of a community-based clinical and/or social service program for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in training in business development, program development, personnel management and financial management preferred
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance

Job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Meet weekly with FFT Trainer to review therapist progress and supervision related issues.
  • (e.g., site characteristics, difficult cases, therapist drift) ; Review adherence ratings with FFT Trainer to provide feedback during group supervision to therapists.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, performance management, and retention efforts for program; Ensure program/facility has staffing sufficient to provide adequate client coverage; partner with Human Resources to maximize retention efforts.
  • Supervise, direct, motivate and evaluate performance of program leadership and immediate subordinates; Implement staff training and development programs and evaluate staff growth plans and development.
  • Ensure therapists maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback.
  • Meet with stakeholders, as needed to sustain referrals, communicate treatment progress, develop, and maintain appropriate community resources to meet family needs, and advise of client readiness for case termination.
  • Ensure data collection on youth participating in the project in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the project design; work with representatives from the County and local DCF in the identification of outcome measures and design of data collection.
  • Monitor treatment team case input into the FFT Outcome database, provide summaries to organizational leadership.
  • Ensure site is open at times convenient to families;
  • Provide 24/7 availability of clinical and administrative support to Therapists.
  • Attend and/or present at community events in an effort to promote BAYS Family Connections FFT Program.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Job Essentials:

  • Direct program service delivery, with emphasis to maintain safety for clients and staff, and ensure maintenance of therapeutic environment in accord with Provider policies, practices, and standards, as well as those of local and state contractual agreements.
  • Provide individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency and oversee individual case and progress toward optimal clinical outcome.
  • Conduct weekly group supervision sessions with FFT team to assure adherence to clinical principles and practices; discuss status and progress of youth and families under treatment.
