Clinical Application Specialist

OBIX is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to support customers in optimizing their use of the OBIX Perinatal Data System and associated medical devices. Your responsibilities will include providing education and clinical support both onsite and remotely, assisting with interface testing, and contributing to product development and documentation.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Professional Services, Michelle Bauscher, within the OBIX business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planning meetings and webinars to assess clinical workflows and develop tailored education curriculums.
  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions on all OBIX modules to customers.
  • Participate in project meetings, including kickoffs, clinical demonstrations, and status updates.
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate data content for OBIX interfaces and perform interface testing to ensure functionality.
  • Manage customization projects, including notes, forms, flowsheets, and care plans, from initial contact through deployment.
  • Customize configuration files for new customers and system upgrades.
  • Contribute to product development by participating in focus groups, providing clinical insights, and testing new products or enhancements.
  • Conduct web-based education sessions and maintain professional documentation of all reports and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and management to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and clinical documents related to education.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery (experience in Mother/Baby, Newborn Nursery, and/or NICU is a plus).
  • Knowledgeable in current standards of practice related to Maternal/Child Nursing.
  • Proficiency with hospital information systems, OB systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Valid RN license, driver's license, and passport.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in clinical software development and implementation.
  • Previous use of electronic fetal monitoring systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Previous experience as an educator with knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to hear audible alarms emitted by the CCSI Alert system and differentiate colors.
  • Willingness to participate in activities related to vendor credentialing, such as laboratory testing, vaccinations, and education.
