Cost Accounting Analyst (Finance)
This position will be responsible for general support of day-to-day operations of the cost accounting function with a focus on process improvementQualifications
- 1+ years experience, cost accounting experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of GAAP
- Excellent systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience with Oracle or other integrated ERP system is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Results and deadline oriented, strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to identify process improvements, ability and desire to take action
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is required
Physical / Work Environment Requirements
- On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time.
- Intermittently twist to reach equipment surrounding work area.
- Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.
- Use telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
- Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.

Role and Responsibilities
- Maintains standard cost file, keeping the standard cost files updated
- Prepare weekly and monthly labor and material variance reports
- Review and post Inventory Adjustments to the ledger
- Provide assistance during the month end process
- Preparation, review and distribution of inventory reporting
- Assist in the preparation and auditing of semi-annual physical inventory
- Provide support during the annual standard cost development
- Provide support during year end audit process
- Special projects as assigned to improve business processes and provide value-added analysis.
- Support marketing product managers with accurate costing information relating to existing products, new products, and product enhancements
