Desired
• High school education or equivalent plus three year's experience in diesel/reefer mechanics or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Read work orders and observes and listens to trucks/reefer's in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures
• Install or repair electrical systems, changing batteries, and replaces transmissions, compressors and other mechanical parts.
• Overhaul diesel engines using mechanics hand tools, welding equipment, standard charts and hoists.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and makes adjustments using hand tools. Perform proper PM's on all fleet equipment.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Type II 609 EPA Certification within 1 year.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
