Accounting Tech - Enrollment (Finance)



*ONSITE ARIZONA POSITION*

Job Summary

Processes enrollment fee receipts, researches transactions, reconciles payments across systems using Microsoft Excel, and supports the Enrollment Accounting Supervisor.

Education & Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense background investigation
• 2 years accounting office experience including high volume payment processing, account reconciliations, refund processing, creating payment accounts or equivalent background.
• Work in entry level or higher accounting position with progression of duties and responsibilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

• Associates Degree in Accounting
• TRICARE experience
• Health plan accounting experience

Key Responsibilities

• Open and sort mail from Enrollment Accounting post office boxes, disseminate daily mail timely to appropriate teams.
• Batch, key, balance, and reconcile both check and credit card enrollment fees using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain documentation of payments.
• Responsible for daily and monthly reconciliation of specific assigned accounts and/or payment methods. Includes balance and reconcile payments received through electronic payment systems to bank and to reporting.
• Reconcile adjustments as needed.
• Research payment inquiries.
• Maintain logs of statistical and other applicable data.
• Work closely with Supervisor, Enrollment Accounting, Enrollment Fees team and data team to resolve issues, discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of required reporting.
• Develop and maintain process and procedure documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Working Conditions

Working Conditions:

• Availability to work non-regular hours and work overtime as required
• Works within a standard office environment, with minimal travel

TriWest job postings typically include a salary range, which can vary based on the specific role and location, but generally this position ranges from around $44,000 - $49,000 per year.
