Product Marketing Manager (Finance)



Overhead Door Corporation has three operational divisions - Access Systems Division (Overhead Door, Wayne Dalton, and TODCO plus our services arm, Creative Door and Wayne Dalton Sales & Service), The Genie®Company, and Horton Pedestrian Systems (Horton Automatics, Flex by Horton, Won-Door plus our services arm of Door Services) - all heralded as industry leaders.

The Division

Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions services the commercial and industrial markets with a variety of automatic and manual entrance systems. Horton produces about 35,000 commercial automatic doors, revolving doors, security entrances and windows annually. Products are placed in segments of healthcare, transportation, hospitality, retail and government.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of product management experience in manufacturing or building technologies.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, preferably in automatic doors or access control.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of IoT integration and smart building technologies.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
  • Normal office environment - this is an in-office position
  • Moderate travel - 20-30%

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, manufacturing and sales teams to define product vision, prioritize features, and deliver high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, data-driven, and passionate about building products that solve real problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
    • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for automatic door systems.
    • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and gaps.
  • Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including design, development, launch, and post-launch support.
    • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Act as the voice of the customer and product champion across departments.
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service to support go-to-market strategies and training.
  • Technical & Regulatory Oversight
    • Ensure products comply with relevant safety standards, building codes, and accessibility regulations (e.g., ANSI/BHMA, ADA).
    • Partner with R&D to evaluate new technologies and materials for product innovation.
  • Financial & Performance Metrics
    • Develop business cases for new products and enhancements.
    • Monitor product performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
