Full Time Cook (Food Services)

✨ What You'll Do:
- Prepare and cook a variety of delicious meals in large quantities following set menus and portion control guidelines
- Safely accommodate special diets and prepare texture-modified foods (e.g., purees)
- Keep the kitchen sparkling clean, organized, and up to health standards
- Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety
- Help with meal service and clean-up, including carts and serving areas
- Make sure meals look as good as they taste—presentation matters!
- Support and train new team members as needed
- Step into a supervisory role when the Dietary Supervisor is off duty
- Collaborate closely with all departments to support the best resident care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience cooking in a hospital, long-term care, or similar setting
- Ability to follow recipes, understand dietary needs, and prepare food safely
- ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- A team player with great communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet for most of the shift
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus
- Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health
