Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Civil Construction Inspector to join our Water Resources Team in New Lexington, Ohio. This is an onsite role to provide construction observation of public works within agency (owner) facilities and/or in the right-of-way (roadway).
The Civil Construction Inspector will observe and document construction of public works to confirm compliance with contract documents. Work to be observed may include, but is not limited to, excavation, trenching, pipe laying, backfill, soil compaction, grading, paving, reinforcing for concrete, concrete placement, masonry construction, structural steel, mechanical piping, pump installation, below grade conduit installation, and reclamation.
While the work is typically an 8-hour workday Monday through Friday, there may be occasions that the work will require overtime. The position requires work around operating construction equipment, in excavations and trenches, in confined spaces, on public roadways with moving vehicles, in weather, and in other hazardous conditions.
Opportunities for growth include progressing to the role of Construction Manager commensurate with experience, demonstrated capabilities, and project-required credentials.
The Civil Construction Inspector will report to a Construction Manager or Resident Engineer and is required to interact professionally with other members of the construction management team, the agency's (owner's) staff, and the contractor's staff and subcontractors.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $68,187 - $112,509. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
