School Behavioral Health Clinican (High School) (Education)

Who You Are:
Amoskeag Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled School Behavioral Health Clinician to provide direct mental health counseling and behavioral support to students in partnership with the Manchester School District. You are dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of children and families, building meaningful connections, and applying trauma-informed practices in school settings. You thrive in collaborative environments, maintain cultural sensitivity, and are committed to supporting students mental health and academic success.

What You'll Do:

Provide mental health services to students identified as needing additional support, with a focus on those affected by poverty and trauma.

Offer individual counseling, comprehensive assessments, screenings, consultation, diagnosis, case conceptualization, and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric concerns.

Develop and implement treatment plans, assisting students in achieving goals through information, referral, advocacy, mentoring, and case management.

Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions following school and Amoskeag Health policies.

Maintain accurate, timely, and easily understood documentation of client contacts, case planning, care plans, and billing/orders.

Support school staff in understanding reinforcement, de-escalation, trauma impacts, and behavior management strategies.

Participate in school team meetings (e.g., IEP meetings) and contribute to Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) implementation.

Collaborate regularly with the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester on shared students, wrap-around services, and referrals.

Assist in planning and attending school events, including parent nights and open houses.

Utilize positive intervention techniques adopted by the school.

Maintain cultural sensitivity and age-appropriate competencies for clients.

Travel locally using your own transportation as needed (mileage reimbursed).

Maintain an expectation of 25 billable sessions per week.
