AI Administrator (Information Technology)



Job Description Summary

Serves as a strategic and technical bridge between Digital Channel Experience (DCE) AI technology, IT and end users, ensuring systems are reliable, efficient and well supported. Responsible for leading the design, development and deployment of Digital Channel's AI programs. Provides technical guidance and mentorship to the end users, ensuring adherence to best practices; Collaborates with internal departments to define specifications and knowledge bases, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Monitors system performance and oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of AI Tools and Software. Serves as the subject matter expert in AI, machine learning, and deep learning, having the ability to identify and trouble shoot technical challenges. Ensures high-quality deliverables and develops end-to-end test plans, ensuring ethical AI practices and data privacy compliance.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, and maintains AI software and hardware systems.
  • Monitors and optimizes AI system performance, including KPIs such as accuracy, processing speed, and resource utilization, for all digital channel environments.
  • Ensures AI models and assistants are trained using relevant data and feedback, assessing and adjusting as required based on user experience and business needs.
  • Develops and implements strategies for AI system optimization ensuring the system is performing optimally and making system adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintains up-to-date AI infrastructure and tools; applies system updates and patches as needed.
  • Ensures secure, efficient data collection, storage, and processing for AI model training and operations.
  • Conducts regular system inspections to identify performance gaps, vulnerabilities, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Implements and enforces data governance standards, including privacy, access control, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Safeguards data integrity and system security through continuous monitoring and proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Provides application support to end users across all AI environments, resolving issues and providing guidance as needed.
  • Leads system maintenance, software testing, and application troubleshooting, including system updates and performance monitoring.
  • Assists users with system navigation and technical issues, offering training and developing training materials and documentation as required.
  • Works with internal departments to gather business requirements and develop functional specifications for AI tools.
  • Develops mockups, wireframes, and proposals for new machine learning initiatives, ensuring user-centric design and functionality.
  • Analyzes user requests for new features or modifications, evaluating feasibility and system impact before implementation.
  • Develops test plans for AI releases, AI assistants and new functionality; creates scenarios, test scripts and test cases; coordinates and/or participates in testing; analyzes the effectiveness and functionality of new programming to ensure all requirements are met; records test results; notifies programming staff of testing problems and required fixes.
  • Prepares and delivers system performance and usage reports to leadership; maintains professional communication with users and stakeholders to ensure transparency and support.
  • Stays current with AI and machine learning advancements, recommending strategic technology improvements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field - Required

Experience Requirement

3 Years - Responsible experience in building, training, and deploying AI models - Required

2 Years - Responsible experience in performing user support, testing, and related functions for business applications - Required

1 Year - Responsible experience in administering systems in a machine learning environment - Preferred

Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in AI frameworks, algorithms, and cloud-based deployment platforms.
  • Skilled in data analysis, model optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for AI development efforts.
  • Strong understanding of systems analysis, business process analysis, and application testing.
  • Capable of producing clear user documentation and training materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, determine the cause of applications errors, and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Possess strong understanding of functions, capabilities, characteristics and limitations of standard computer platforms and devices.
  • Perform basic business process analyses and apply critical thinking skills to reach sound, logical conclusions regarding user needs and business requirements.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve applications problems.
  • Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
  • Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
  • Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
