Region Talent & Community Outreach Coordinator (Creative Design)

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Talent & Community Outreach Coordinator! 

Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Region Human Resource Manager, the Region Talent & Community Outreach Coordinator will support the tactical efforts including initiatives and programs that expand Boise Cascade's talent pipeline by moving the strategy forward and operationalize our efforts to welcome belonging and build community.

Essential Functions

- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to progress in welcoming belonging in the work environment.

- Lead and coordinate efforts to build community by building external, sustainable partnerships aligning with the Associate Experience and Engagement       Strategy and goals addressing business needs for professional-level and production-level talent.

- Lead and coordinate the operational planning for group/team workshops and/or specific initiatives.

- Assist key stakeholders in the Region and HR by establishing objective, job-related employment criteria.

- Partner with site Leadership to include Region/location HR to ensure recruiting processes provides non-discriminatory practices while minimizing   administrative tasks yet maintaining the hiring and retention of high-viability candidates.

- Partner with site Leadership in the Region and HR by focusing on Associate retention and implementing retention initiatives.

- Develop relationships with outside employment agencies, placement companies, colleges, industry associations and employment advertising medium to   maintain networks and recruiting resources.

- Source, network with, and proactively reach out to community outreach resources/groups to broaden the talent pipeline.

- Partner with Region leadership to include Region HR to develop recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates for Division managerial   positions.

- Work with all levels of management to develop a full understanding of specific recruiting needs by building relationships and gaining knowledge of   location specifics, environments and communities and functional staff needs across the entire Region.

- Communicate our culture, Brand, products, and structure to identify appropriate skills sets for employment needs.

- Assist key stakeholders with building hiring plans that build an infrastructure to drive success in retaining talent.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree (preferred) in cultural studies, ethnic studies, social services, sociology, psychology, organizational development, behavioral sciences, business, human resources, related field or equivalent work experience.
