Assembly Shift Supervisor (Finance)



Summary Leads and coordinates shift-level assembly team performance, ensuring targets are met for production, quality, and safety through hands-on support and leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead team members and track quality and production goals Coordinate scheduling and monitor workflow efficiency Analyze labor and production data for improvements Inspect finished products and adjust operations accordingly Coach, train, and evaluate team performance Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence. Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator. Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices. Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 1 to 2 years of experience or training Physical Frequent walking with periods of sitting and standing Occasional ladder climbing and stooping Uses arms/hands frequently to assist with machinery Occasionally lifts 0-30 lbs; rarely up to 50 lbs PPE includes safety glasses at all times; gloves as required Shift: Second (Tu-F 3:45pm-2:15am) Working Conditions Work is performed in production zone with frequent exposure to loud machines and nitrogen-based chemicals. Competencies Knowledge Knowledge of business and people management in a production environment Understanding of manufacturing equipment and assembly line workflow Familiarity with scheduling, reporting, and production cost control Skills Supervisory skills to motivate and evaluate shift team performance Skilled in interpreting schedules and production metrics Coordination and planning for workforce and equipment layout Able to resolve conflicts and train staff in standard procedures Excellent time management and decision-making under pressure Abilities Leadership and coordination of multiple employees and functions Ability to clearly identify quality or safety issues and take action Visual acuity and color recognition for inspecting parts Oral expression and listening for coaching and feedback sessions Time sharing and adaptability for shift-wide planning and response
